News from the 30m Telescope

An ``Animated Portrait'' of the IRAM 30-m shown in an art exhibition in Glasgow

The Scottish artist Will Duke was so impressed by the technical perfection of the IRAM 30-m Telescope and its scientific potential that he decided to create an animated portrait of the antenna and display a monitor with the animation at an art exhibition in a gallery called ``Tramway'' in Glasgow, Scotland. ``Tramway'' is a well respected contemporary gallery with an international audience. Will Duke is planning to show his work again at other galleries. He invites the users and friends of the Pico Veleta Observatory to have a look on his website on which he is displaying the animation of the 30-m antenna and other samples of his work.
