My view point on that is that we should NOT tie up the data reduction script
to
the observation in a completely automatic way. That they both be created by
the
same tool at the same time is OK, but the data reduction script may need to
be
adjusted later.

Also, we should not confuse the on-line data reduction script (as quoted
above)
with any "final" or off-line data reduction script. Such an off-line script
could be
derived from the data content, rather than from the observing procedure.
