MVIEW

        MVIEW

    is an X-Window viewer for GILDAS data cubes. MVIEW is  oriented  towards
    fast  interactive  display of 3-D data cubes, and has capabilities which
    allow it to prepare parameter files for some GILDAS task.

    * To increase the speed of  interactive  cursor,  desactivate  the  zoom
    window, by clicking the right button in it and select zoom off.

    * In NORMAL mode, press button1 to visualize X,  Y,  Z  coordinates  and
    spectrum   along   Z.   A   Button1Press   immediately   followed  by  a
    Button1Release in the integrated mean window  memories  a  summit  of  a
    polygon  in  a  queue; same action with button2 removes the last polygon
    summit in the queue; click button3 to close the  polygon  and  visualize
    the integrated spectrum inside the polygon on the right side.

    * In SLICE mode, press button1 and drag the mouse to define the slice.

    * In 3D AREA mode press button2 and drag the mouse to define a reference
    subset  in  the  mosaic; when the cursor falls into an other subset, the
    box is propagates itself  from  current  to  reference  subset  or  from
    reference  to current subset; release button2 and press anywhere else to
    select another reference subset; Press button1 (resp  button3)  anywhere
    to  define  first  (resp last) subset. In the spectrum window, the first
    and last subset are given by the position of  the  big  tics  under  the
    integrated   spectrum;  drag  the  tics  with  button1  to  compute  the
    integrated mean between the tics.
