        GAUSS_2D

    This task fits a single 2  dimensional   elliptical   gaussian   to   an
    image.  The fitted gaussian is kept on an output image.  All coordinates
    are USER coordinates, not pixels.  Each parameter is followed by a  code
    to indicate whether it is fixed (code 1) or variable (code 0).

    If the input image is actually a cube, a  gaussian  is  fitted  to  each
    plane.
