Since almost all quasars are variable, it is necessary to determine the flux densities of the calibrators before starting observations. The command FLUX assumes pre-determined antenna efficiencies to convert the antenna temperature scale into flux densities, and sets the flux in the data file header. This command should be issued once before starting normal observations.
