Because of flagged data and unused part of the IF bands, CLIC tends to produce bigger UV tables than necessary. Using the /RESAMPLE option of the TABLE command allows the selection of the minimum number of channels around a spectral line of interest, or the channel averaging required.
An alternative possibility is to use the UV_EXTRACT task to select channels, and the UV_COMPRESS task to produce channel averaged UV tables.
