Delay measurements

The delay can be measured from the phase slope across the IF band on a standard cross-correlation or GAIN on a strong celestial source. Data reduction is done with CLIC using command CLIC $\backslash$SOLVE DELAY. Two different methods are available, depending on what is plotted (see CLIC manual for details). Command CLIC $\backslash$SOLVE DELAY /PRINT produces a delay.obs command file which can be executed to enter the appropriate values.

It is also possible to use a scanning of the delay on one antenna to determine the delay offsets of the interferometer. This is done using the OBS $\backslash$DELAY command. A strong continuum source is required. A zero delay (from the last measurement, or from a best guess) is taken from the configuration file Tij.ANk, and the scanning occurs around this value. Do a coarse scan with command OBS $\backslash$DELAY -50 50 2, then use a cross-correlation to get enough precision.
