The delay can be measured from the phase slope across the IF band on a
standard cross-correlation or GAIN on a strong celestial
source. Data reduction is done with CLIC using command CLIC
SOLVE DELAY. Two different methods are available,
depending on what is plotted (see CLIC manual for details).
Command CLIC
SOLVE DELAY /PRINT produces a delay.obs command file which can be executed to enter the
appropriate values.
It is also possible to use a scanning of the delay on one antenna to
determine the delay offsets of the interferometer. This is done using
the OBS
DELAY command. A strong continuum source is
required. A zero delay (from the last measurement, or from a best
guess) is taken from the configuration file Tij.ANk, and the scanning
occurs around this value. Do a coarse scan with command OBS
DELAY -50 50 2, then use a cross-correlation
to get enough precision.
